Built to Order, Built to Last — Custom Pieces from Our Workshop

Every piece we sell is handmade in a small Pennsylvania workshop — and because nothing comes off an assembly line, pieces can be made the way your customer actually wants them. A table that fits the room. A finish that matches the furniture they already own. Storage built for the way they live.

That can mean adjusting one of our existing designs — or building something one of a kind from the ground up. If your customers ask for custom, you can say yes.

What Can Be Customized

  • Size — dimensions adjusted to fit a specific space
  • Wood — American domestic hardwoods; the species available can vary by piece, so tell us what you're after and we'll confirm with the workshop
  • Finish — stain and finish options, including matching an existing piece where possible
  • Details — hardware, and piece-specific options like table leaves, shelving, drawers, and hutches
  • Design — changes to an existing design, or a fully custom piece built from your customer's description, photos, or sketches

How Custom Orders Work

  1. Send us the request. The piece (or the closest design to it), the dimensions, wood and finish your customer wants, and any photos or sketches that help. Email: info@truecraftfurniture.com
  2. We confirm and quote. We go over every request with the workshop before quoting — if it can be built, you'll get a wholesale quote and a build timeline.
  3. Approve and we build. Custom orders start with a 50% deposit. Build times vary with the piece and the workshop's current queue — your quote includes the timeline before you commit.
  4. It ships to your customer. Delivery is arranged the same as our regular pieces.

Good to Know

  • No two pieces of solid wood are identical — grain and color vary naturally. That's the point of the real thing.
  • Because a custom piece is built for one customer, please confirm every spec before approving the build.
  • Not sure if an idea can be built? Ask us. The honest answer costs nothing, and the workshop would rather tell us what's possible up front.
